Dresses

So I can't decide on a dress for the next wedding we are going to in three weeks.  The actual ceremony is in the afternoon in a Catholic church and then the reception starts in the evening and goes late into the night.  So I want something both fun/summery but suitable for all the places.  I can't find exactly what I want but these are my top choices:

Catch up!

Sorry for the mini hiatus- I started my internships and class this week and AH- my days were LONG!  I ended up accepting two internships (because I am crazy) and am taking two classes so this past week felt SO LONG.  But I think it will get easier once I get the hang of the internships and classes.

So quick catch up on my lifeeee then I have to go catch up on everyone's blogs :)

1. This weekend was Tony's cousins engagement party.  Tony has a lot of cousins around our age and they are all getting married so it is exciting but lots of parties and lots of presents! We have a wedding in two weeks so I need to get another dress- I'm thinking about renting one on Rent the Runway.

Also- sorry for the kiss pic but LOOK AT MY HAIR.  Getting longer. SO exciting.  I wore this dress last summer for his brother's engagement party and the hair comparison makes me happy.

2. PASTAAAA!! Since my apartment has no stove I haven't had pasta in FOREVER.  So we got pasta on Saturday and I WAS SO EXCITED.  I also love shaky cheese, as you can see in the pasta pic :) And we also had dessert and it was THE BOMB.

 so handsome :)

3. GRADES- I got my grades and was very happy and excited that I met my goals and now feel like I semi know what I am doing in school.  So I celebrated with Carvel- WOOO.

4. After seeing all these pictures of lovely food I realize that I photograph my food more than anything (well almost - Rocky is a close second).  But Tony and I decided to give up soda, butter, cookies (that one is for me- cookies for one is over), fast food (that one is for Tony :), and alcohol (except for events) we didn't count Subway!) until the next wedding in a few weeks and then maybe until vacation.  We started last week and it is amazing how often I craved a diet coke but after getting over that I feel so much better. I also missed baking but not so much the actual cookies.  But I really want to give up soda for good and it's always nice having someone else doing the same thing! :)

5. I'm getting ready to spend the rest of my day catching up on blogs and TV!  So excited Rookie Blue is back and can't wait to watch the Revenge finale!!!!

The Roxbury

Our trip to the Roxbury was absolutely positively gorgeous.  The motel reached and exceeded every expectation I had.  I LOVE details and was left in awe by how many little tiny details that were included in the decorations.  Also, Roxbury was out in the middle of no where so it was SO quiet.  It was lovely.  Tony and I spent the day hiking, drinking some lovely beers, and laying around outside in the nice weather.  I couldn't have asked for a better weekend- minus a little stressing on my part about school/life but this is typical and nothing a little beer didn't fix :)

LOVED this tub.  Tony went to find snacks and I took the longest most relaxing bath EVER. I need one in my home.

We are already planning a trip to go back and go white water rafting!  The staff was wonderful and so sweet- they also had the BEST continental breakfast.  I didn't take any pictures because we were busy inhaling everything but they had fresh fruit and homemade breakfast muffins and cinnamon rolls- so yummy!  

I highly recommend it if you are ever in the area.  The End :) 

FRIDAY!!!! YAYYY!!! So happy!! I think Friday is officially always my favorite day of the week- it always feels so exciting!!

5. Roxbury!! Tony and I will be spending tomorrow in the Catskills hiking and relaxing! We are celebrating our two years and getting through the first year of law school- can't wait!

I am trying to find a big floppy hat to wear this summer whenever we go to the beach and when we go to Aruba in July!  I tanned in a tanning bed off and on while I was in undergrad and when I graduated I went to the dermatologist and she basically scared me half to death and made me never want to lay out again.  So now I try to take better care of my skin, wear sun screen, and wear a hat.  But I don't know which hat to choose! These are my top contenders:

Weekend Recap!

Hi Hi hi!!! I have missed blogging- so happy I have this week to get back into the groove of things!

This weekend flew by! On Thursday morning I drove down to see Tony, spent Friday and most of Saturday with one of my best friends for her birthday celebrations, and came back early Sunday.  So all weekend I was still go-go-going!  So today I have had a nice slow, relaxing day.


The Yankee game was fun! I went with Liz (my BFF since high school) and two of our friends from high school.  My family moved away from where I went to high school right after I graduated so I love to go back and visit and see everyone.  It's always nice that no matter what these people and friendships are always the same.

Liz and I talk everyday but don't get to see each other that often but whenever we do it's like we haven't spent a day apart.  I love friendships like that.  

Also side note- the Yankee stadium was EHHH in my opinion.  I wasn't impressed at all.  I think I have been spoiled with Citi Field (the Mets Stadium) or brain washed by Tony.  Both are options.  If you notice I didn't wear anything Yankee as not to offend the Mets :)

SO EXCITED MY HAIR IS GETTING LONGER.  And to see Tony.  He is amazing. I don't know how anyone puts up with their significant other while in law school.  I swear it makes me an emotional stressed out grump.  And he always clams me down and makes me happy.  So lucky to have him in my life!

So on an WTF note- I left early on Sunday to stop at the J Crew outlet in-between Tony and me.  It was like exactly half way so an hour and a half between us.  Long enough I wouldn't just want to drive there on a normal day.  So I have been planning to go for like EVER. and I MISS THE EXIT.  I'm not even sure how... actually I'm pretty sure it was because I was jamming out to this song:

So my GPS is like redirecting redirecting and I'm like WTFFFF! Then it says it will take me 45 additional minutes to get there between traffic nd having to drive to the next exit which is 20 minutes away.  So I didn't go because I couldn't waste that much time.

So I keep driving and I'm about an hour away from the kennel where Rocky was staying but had about two hours to kill before I could pick him up.  So I decided to stop off for food and typed in Chipotle.  My GPS directs me to a chipotle that is supposedly 2 miles off my course.  NOT A CHIPOTLE.  It takes me to the MIDDLE OF THE WOODS.  literally.  And I keep circling because I am starving and convinced it is there.  Until I see a lady, with a wonderful lady mullet.  Who says there is no Chipotle.

Needless to say I am still angry with my GPS.
